Internet is a powerful tool. You can use it to research, communicate, or even be entertained. Anyone capable of using a keyboard can make all their works public, and provide their thoughts, or knowledge. Take for example, FSP Sites(T) which is more than pages of information. Some may not be valuable, but all of it says something. However, the flexibility, accessibility, and anonymity is also what can make it a dangerous weapon. With the Internet, a person can stalk another, harass and threaten anyone with words, and possible action from anywhere in the world, and has been a hot spot for all of the things that could be bad such as pirated material, ideologies of hate, and even child porn.

While governments, businesses, and developers are trying to make the Internet the resource, and tool it was intended to be, it is up to everyone on a more personal level to ensure safety. However, many people don't know where to start, or not sure if it is the right thing that they are doing. While I am not a technology security expert, I have been using the Internet for more than a decade. I remember the days where even the slowest of broadband would cost hundreds of dollars and unlimited dial up was a rarity. Programs such as Telnet, and SSH services were very common, and the majority of files came from BBS that had to be run in a black and white (or black and green) screen. And throughout this time, I have manage to not have my well being in danger because of it. Now, I am willing to provide you with the knowledge I have. You would get to learn from my mistakes.

The Internet Safety site is divided into a number of areas. They all would have very similar pages, but would address different issues catered to a particular audience. There would be this section which is very general. A section on safety in regards to my site. No, it is not dangerous, but if you understand how my site works, than you would have a better idea of how to protect yourself from people claiming to be me, or trying to use my domains to hide themselves from being reported by people who know better. The other two areas are catered to Children, and Parents respectively. These two areas rely on working with the other for it to work fully, but it addresses what the respective audience should consider.
